Chandigarh, August 5: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today accorded approval to a proposal regarding amendments in Haryana Revenue (Group B) Service Rules 1988 read with Haryana Revenue (Group B) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2007 and 2012. These Rules may be called the Haryana Revenue (Group B) Service (Amendment) Rules 2021.
The State Government has included the post of Naib Tehsildar of direct quota in the Haryana Civil Services (Executive Branch) and Allied Services Examination during the year 2018, hence the said amendments are required to be made.
As per the amendment made in the direct recruitment rules, now 50 percent of the recruitment of persons recommended by the Commission for appointment to the post of Naib Tehsildar will be done on the basis of Haryana Civil Services (Executive Branch) and Allied Services Examination.
Likewise, amendments have also been done in rules pertaining to the recruitment of the said post by promotion. Under the new Haryana Revenue (Group B) Service (Amendment) Rules 2021, any person having Five years' experience as Kanungo or District Revenue Accountant or Senior Revenue Accountant of Financial Commissioner's office, Haryana and who has qualified departmental examination of Naib Tehsildar will be eligible for the post of Naib Tehsildar. The syllabus has also been updated as per the revised Haryana Civil Services Rules, 2016.
