Chandigarh, August 3– In the presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, 14 councilors, including the newly elected chairman of Tohana Municipal Council, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. Chairman, Haryana Public Enterprises Bureau, Sh. Subhash Barala was also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister gave a message to Chairman, Sh. Naresh Bansal and all the 14 councilors to do public welfare work in future by carrying BJP the flag high.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the last municipal council and municipal committee shows that the people have reposed faith in the development works of the government. This victory is the seal of the people on the policies of the government. He said that the Haryana Government was emphasizing on development works in every area of the state without any discrimination. Public welfare schemes are being implemented in the entire state at a fast pace. The councilors, who joined on Wednesday, have also expressed their faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party after being impressed by the people-friendly works of the government.
The Chief Minister said that in a democracy, people have high expectations from the people's representatives. Whether it is at the level of panchayat and local body or at the level of MLA and MP. After winning, the public representative should fulfill the expectations of the people while fulfilling his religion. The Chief Minister congratulated the newly elected Chairman and councilors and said that they should do the work of public service with honesty and play an important role in the development of the state and its region.
On this occasion, the Chairman, Tohna Municipal Council, Sh. Naresh Bansal also handed over a demand letter to the Chief Minister in the presence of the councillors. Sh. Subhash Barala also considered the demands of the demand letter and urged to complete them at the earliest.
