Chandigarh, November 3 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has directed the officials to include local MLAs while preparing the detailed project report of the schemes under the 'Jal Jeevan Mission' as this scheme is an important scheme launched by Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. The concerned local MLAs can get plans formulated regarding drinking water as per the demand of their respective areas.
The Chief Minister was representing Haryana during a review meeting regarding 'Jal Jeevan Mission' with Union Jal Shakti Minister, Mr Gajendra Singh Shekhawat through video conferencing today.
The Chief Minister also directed the concerned officials that water scarcity will be a major issue in the upcoming days, which will be a matter of concern for everyone. For this, we will have to focus on water conservation schemes from now onwards, so that we can provide water to future generations.
The Chief Minister said that during these days 'Jal Jeevan Mission' is the vision of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. Along with the Gram Panchayats, the representatives of the Zila Parishads, Block Committees should be actively included in this mission. He directed the officials that a separate CEO of 'Jal Jeevan Mission' should be appointed in future, as Deputy Commissioners in the districts have additional workload.
Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Mr. Devender Singh, Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Director of Rural Development Department Mr. Hardeep Singh and other officials were also present in the meeting.
