Chandigarh April, 11- Amid indication by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi for extending the nationwide lockdown for further two weeks, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal directed to plan its implementation in a phased manner, while again resolving to combat this global pandemic of corona virus.

The Chief Minister shared this while addressing the people of the state during ‘Haryana Aaj’ programme through live telecast here today.

He said that that the state would be divided into three zones ie red, orange and green. The red zones would include the four districts of Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh, and Palwal which are the hotspots. The orange zone has been tagged as the vulnerable category, meaning thereby the areas and districts where the number of Corona patients is less, more people are kept in surveillance and observation. While the third category i.e. Green zone will include those areas where there are no positive cases.

While informing about the process to reopen the industries, he said that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises have to make a plan that those industries which will be following the social distancing norms, food and lodging arrangement for their workers inside their factory premises will be allowed to run their factories. He urged the small business enterprises to draft their plan today only and said that social distancing committees will be made at district, block, city and village level. Through these committees the permission will be given as to which factories or industries will be allowed to carry out their operations.

The Chief Minister said that the movement of raw material, finished goods will be allowed but the movement of people will be limited so that during the lockdown period and while following the social distancing norm it should be ensured to break the transmission chain of the virus.. He said that wearing a mask should be adopted as a routine habit and should become a part of our life style.

While stating that the Prime Minister has also instructed to keep a close vigil on the black marketing, the Chief Minister said that district administration at their own level is already keeping a close eye on the black marketing but the people of the state will have to remain alert and if anyone is indulging in such activities then they should immediately inform the district administration.

He said that builders should also ensure the implementation of social distancing and draft a plan accordingly and submit the same to the social distancing committee. The committee will then inspect the same and the builders have to give an affidavit saying that the social distancing norms will be followed.

The Chief Minister said that to avoid over-crowding of hospitals, the facility of telemedicine has been started. He said that doctors right now are dedicatedly working in the hospitals to fight this pandemic. He appealed that the people suffering from other health ailments, rather than visiting the COVID hospitals, should visit other hospitals. In some places, telemedicine had been started, to provide telephonic consultations. He shared that presently 250 mobile dispensaries were operational in the State and the number will be increased to 500 soon, so that people did not face any problems for getting their medicines.

He further appealed to the people to download the Arogya Setu app in their smart phones, so that they can get the information about any person suffering from any problem or symptom of the virus and they can further share this information with their nearest help centres.

He said that the government is concerned about the harvest of the crops of the farmers. Each and every grain of their produce would be procured, he assured. However there might be some delay in the procurement and the farmers would have to be prepared to stock their produce for a month or two. He said that adequate arrangements of seeds and fertilizers have been made for the timely sowing of the Kharif crops.
